β€œSinugba nga Baboyβ€œ (Grilled Pork)

This recipe is one of my familyβ€˜s Β favorite. When I mentioned to them that I will write a blog about it, my firstborn basically said NO. She doesn’t want me to share this recipe. Inspite of her saying no. Here it is, I hope you’ll try it and enjoy as much as my family does every time I make them.

π‘†π‘–π‘›π‘’π‘”π‘π‘Ž is my π‘›π‘Žπ‘‘π‘–π‘£π‘’ π‘‘π‘œπ‘›π‘”π‘’π‘’ that means GRILLED. The secret of this recipe is to let the marinade soaked in the pork overnight and grilled it the next day. I prefer to used a pork shoulder because of the fat that I like in a meat.

1 Pork Shoulder (cut the way you want it),
3/4 cup Vinegar, 3/4 cup soy sauce, 1 onion (chopped), 4Β cloves of garlic (chopped), 1 juice of a lemon, 4 Bay leaves.

Β For pepper corn or black pepper, salt & sugar to taste but π‘‘π‘œπ‘›β€™π‘‘ 𝑏𝑒 π‘ β„Žπ‘¦ π‘‘π‘œ π‘ π‘’π‘Žπ‘ π‘œπ‘›π‘’π‘‘ π‘¦π‘œπ‘’π‘Ÿ π‘šπ‘’π‘Žπ‘‘, 𝐼 π‘™π‘–π‘˜π‘’π‘‘ π‘šπ‘¦ π‘šπ‘’π‘Žπ‘‘ π‘ π‘’π‘Žπ‘ π‘œπ‘›π‘’π‘‘ 𝑀𝑒𝑙𝑙.

Mix all the ingredients. Marinate the meat overnight. Reserve the marinade for basting. Β Grilled it for 45-60 minutes, baste it every 15 minutes with the reserved marinade and turn the meat over every time. Keep doing it until it’s done. Let the meat set for about 15 minutes before cutting to a bite-size and SERVE.
